FRENCH AND SPANISH FOR
PRE-SCHOOL CHILDREN (AGED 2-4)
OUTDOOR AND ACTIVE LEARNING
45 MINUTES PER SESSION
Learn French or Spanish in your welly boots!
THESE CLASSES WILL BE RESTARTING IN SEPTEMBER 2021.
Learning a second language is easier as a child. Children have fewer inhibitions and a brain designed for language learning. They are like sponges and they are interested in the world around them and open to new experiences.
My lessons include songs, games, lots of role play activities, stories and crafts. I have access to a beautiful garden to keep them active and engaged and make their language learning fun. I will have a maximum of 6 children in each class to ensure your child fully benefits.
We mainly meet at Horticap each week (see below for a link to the location). For those terrible rainy days we have access to a classroom space but much of the learning will take place in the wonderful garden. There is a mud kitchen and pretend café area, a fairy garden, real chickens, a pond, a bird hide and there are models of different animals like deer, badgers and butterflies. It is really enchanting and inspiring and there is so much to explore. Your child will love it!
We also have special trips out to Knaresborough and to Harlow Carr and we are hoping to arrange a trip to a family run farm.
Classes are on a Thursday morning -
9.30 till 10.15 - French
10.20 till 11.05 - French
11.15 till 12.00 - Spanish
Parents and carers are welcome to follow us around the garden but equally you may leave your child with me and have a look in the shop or have a coffee in the new café. I am CRB checked and First Aid trained.
Client testimonial - Both my daughter and I are loving the LinGo Explore french class we do weekly with Caroline. I love the fact it is taught outdoors so they can explore as they learn. She is only just 3 but already remembers some words we learn each week. It's such a fun class, there is a weekly theme and story and Caroline is great with her and explains everything in both French and English so she fully understands what's going on. I would highly recommend this class. Kate Freeman
